YUSHI STONE completed a custom marble soap dish project for a luxury hotel in Hong Kong. Made from natural Carrara white marble and paired with a metal base plate, the soap dishes combine a honed matte surface with a contrasting metal detail.
Our scope covered stone fabrication, quality inspection, metal assembly and custom packaging. The factory photographs document how the products progressed from CNC shaping to individually boxed pieces, giving hotel buyers and designers a closer look at our production process.

Natural Carrara Marble with a Metal Base
The soap dish features a circular marble body, a recessed bowl and three raised ribs. Its honed matte surface gives the stone a soft appearance, while the thin metal base adds a reflective detail along the lower edge.
The factory photographs show the natural variation in the marble’s grey veining. Each piece retains its individual stone pattern within the same product design.
Producing this combination involves several connected stages. The stone must be shaped, trimmed and finished before it moves through inspection and assembly with the matching metal component.
How We Manufactured the Marble Soap Dishes
1. CNC Shaping
Production began at our stone factory, where CNC machines carved the marble into the soap dish form. This stage created the circular outline, recessed bowl and raised ribs, establishing the geometry for subsequent trimming and finishing.
CNC processing also supported the repeated production of the same design across the project batch.

2. Precision Edge Trimming
After CNC shaping, the stone pieces underwent mechanical trimming to remove excess material and refine their outer profiles.
This stage brought the edges closer to their finished form and prepared the pieces for detailed hand finishing.

3. Hand Finishing and Honed Surface Treatment
Workers then refined the rims, curved surfaces and transitions around the raised ribs using handheld tools. The stone surfaces were finely ground to achieve the required honed matte finish.
This stage brought together the product’s shape, edge details and surface appearance before inspection.

4. Stone Quality Inspection
Once fabrication and surface finishing were complete, the stone pieces underwent quality inspection. Approved pieces moved on to metal assembly.
Placing this checkpoint before assembly connected the stone production stage with the preparation of the finished product.

5. Metal Base Assembly
The approved marble bodies were assembled with their matching metal base plates. The finished combination pairs the matte stone surface with a thin reflective metal edge.
For this project, YUSHI STONE coordinated stone fabrication and metal assembly within the same workflow, providing the customer with complete soap dishes.

6. Custom Packaging
Following assembly, each soap dish was placed in a customer-specific box with a fitted protective insert. The inserts held the products in position within their individual boxes.
The boxed products were then arranged in wooden outer packaging, completing the process from stone fabrication to packed finished goods.

Coordinated Stone Fabrication, Metal Assembly and Packaging
This Hong Kong hotel project demonstrates how YUSHI STONE brings stone processing, metal component assembly and packaging together around one finished product.
For hotel purchasers, interior designers and project contractors, this provides a single point of coordination across the stages covered by the project. Product details and packaging requirements can be discussed together, helping connect the manufacturing process with the intended delivery format.
The factory photographs show both the finished details and the work behind them: CNC shaping, edge trimming, hand finishing, the stone surface, the metal base and individual packaging.
